One of the oldest existing law firms in Snohomish County, the firm now known as Newton Kight L.L.P. was originally founded by Clifford Newton in 1913, in Everett, Washington.  In 1920, he was joined by his brother, Arthur Newton, and they formed the firm of Newton and Newton. Henry Newton, the son of Arthur Newton, joined the practice in 1961. Michael Kight, a friend of Henry’s from undergraduate and law school at the University of Washington, joined the practice in 1967, and it became known as Newton, Newton & Kight. The firm continued to grow and in 1996 became a limited liability partnership known as Newton Kight L.L.P.

Newton Kight has grown over the years but maintains its foundation in multi-generational legal families. There is a tradition of excellence serving greater Snohomish County and beyond, in vast areas of legal prowess.  We are able to serve our clients in a wide range of areas of the law, including but not limited to: family law, guardianship, elder law, wills and trusts, estate planning, probate, litigation, personal injury, landlord-tenant issues, business formations and more.
